Why compare with us

Comparing without the catches

🔍

We say what we do not show

Our overview comes from a comparison feed. The Netherlands has around forty suppliers and we show a selection. If yours is not listed, we say so, instead of pretending this is the whole market.

⚖️

Sorted fairly

By default on the lowest yearly cost. Our fee never influences the order, and we explain that openly.

🤝

Switching without hassle

You choose your contract here and sign up with the supplier itself. They cancel your old contract and arrange the switch, with 14 days to change your mind. You are never left without electricity or gas.

If you have solar panels, your energy contract, and especially the feed-in costs and compensation, suddenly matters a lot more. We compare which supplier stays most favourable for your situation.

Honest and independent

Our advice is always what is best for you

The energy market is a maze: hundreds of contracts, feed-in costs and dynamic rates. We work it out to the bottom every day, so you do not have to. Comparing is and stays free, and switching through us costs you nothing extra.

  • We do the legwork. We know the current rates, deals and rules, and translate that into the best choice for you.
  • The best advice for you. We show the contract that is most favourable for your situation, not the one that earns us most.
  • Switching costs you nothing extra. If you take out a contract through us, the supplier pays us a fee. You pay exactly the same as switching directly with that supplier.
  • The fee differs per supplier, the order does not. What we earn per switch is not the same for every supplier, so we sort only on the lowest yearly cost for you. There is no paid placement, and suppliers cannot buy their way up the list.

Frequently asked questions

Can I compare energy suppliers in the Netherlands in English?

Yes. This section explains the Dutch energy market in English and ranks suppliers on the lowest total yearly cost. The live comparison tool itself is in Dutch, but it is mostly numbers, and we explain what each field means.

Is switching energy supplier worth it for internationals?

Often yes, especially if you just moved and inherited the previous occupant's contract, or you have never switched. Switching is free (unless you leave a fixed contract early), never interrupts supply, and the new supplier arranges everything.

Do you show all energy suppliers?

No, we show a selection of the Dutch market and are honest about that. Within that selection we sort only on the lowest yearly cost for you, and our commission does not affect the order.

Do I need a Dutch bank account to get energy?

In practice almost always yes. Most suppliers bill by direct debit and ask for a Dutch IBAN, though a few accept other SEPA accounts. See our guide on setting up energy for the full checklist.
